TODAY, 28.02.2022, WE OBSERVE RARE DISEASE DAY

The primary goal of this initiative is to raise awareness among the general public about rare diseases and their impact on patients and their families.

In our country, there are over 350,000 people with rare diseases. A disease is considered rare if it affects fewer than 1 in 2,000 citizens. Most of these conditions are genetic and persist throughout a person’s life, even if symptoms do not appear immediately after birth. They are characterized by a wide variety of symptoms and signs, with the majority of cases remaining hidden for a long time.

Unfortunately, only a small fraction of these diseases have treatments available, approximately 5% of the over 8,000 rare diseases. Global statistics indicate that over 40% of rare disease patients worldwide remain undiagnosed.

Driven by the desire to stand side by side in the fight for a fulfilling life for our patients and to promote the new diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities of modern medicine, we at Reimex Pharma are launching an information campaign for the prevention of rare liver diseases.

The campaign aims to inform the public about rare diseases by answering frequently asked questions and providing information about the treatment of those affected by these diseases. The problems faced by patients with rare diseases are related to both the lack of an accurate diagnosis or its delayed establishment and the lack of sufficient information about the disease itself.
