A scientific symposium on the topic: “Diagnostic and therapeutic options in Alajil syndrome” – led by Dr. Mila Baicheva, was sponsored by Reimex Pharma at the XVI National Congress of Pediatrics.

In the period September 19-22, 2024, in the city of Rila, k.k.Borovets, the XVI National Congress of Pediatrics was held with international participation.This most important forum in the field of pediatrics has been held since 1963, every three years. Traditionally, the event gathers over 500 participants – pediatricians, general practitioners, colleagues from all specialties, as this year, the event enjoyed a record attendance – over 600 people. Reimex Pharma also became a sponsor of the scientific symposium – “Diagnostic and therapeutic options in Alajil’s syndrome” – led by Dr. Mila Baicheva.
The scientific program of the XVI National Congress of Pediatrics with international participation was extremely rich. It was divided into twelve modules – “Challenges for young pediatricians”, “Neonatology”, “Hematology and oncology”, “Neurology”, “Cardiology”, “News and challenges in pediatric pulmonology”, “Rheumatology”, “Intensive pediatrics”, “Rare diseases”, “Endocrinology”, “Gastroenterology” and “Nephrology”, and in each of them a special time for questions and discussions was provided, BPA notes. The accompanying program covered six modules – Psychiatry, Dermatology and Allergology, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology and Health Care Specialists.
The Congress program also included three training modules – “Nutrition”, “Early Child Development” and “Diabetes”, which were intended for pediatric specialists, as well as for all those wishing to improve their qualifications.
In addition to leading specialists from Bulgaria, reports were also presented at the Congress by five foreign speakers – Prof. Albena Yordanova, Prof. Lena Hataya, Prof. Orit Pina Hemel, Prof. Schlegel and Prof. Mathias Wolff.
